This is Day 2 of The Art of Creative Solitude—Making room for the muse.

Here’s something I’ve learned the hard way:

Creativity doesn’t show up on command.

You can sit at your desk, brow furrowed, pen ready… and nothing happens.

But then, in the shower, or walking under trees, or waiting in line somewhere—bam. There she is. The muse.
